    • Top leader board ad displayed on topic and article pages. Top leader board ad on the topic pages is displayed below the upper navigation and title bars or headers. Top leader board ad on the article pages is displayed below the upper navigation and above the title of the article. Top leader board ad is the most eye-catching format and the most strategic ad.
    • The bottom leader board ad is displayed above the footer (usually above the bottom navigation or copyright information) at the bottom of page, or below the article.
When you determine to use banner ads on your web advertising, you should know about the terms of banner ads, such as:
  1. Creative: the graphic design of your custom banners.
  2. Static ad: banner ad that has not changed and stills the same each time the page is opened.
  3. Rotating ad: the changeable banner ad each time visitor reload the page.
  4. Banner views: how many times the page is displayed for a banner ad for a full download.
  5. Landing page: the short call to action ad at the first page seen by visitors.
  6. Text ads: ads consist of hyperlink text that will bring potential customers to the website of advertiser once it clicked on.

  11. Cost per mille (CPM): banner ad model that advertiser will pay the publisher for per 1,000 impressions of page, whether the ad is clicked on or not.
  12. Cost per click (CPC): banner ad model that advertiser will pay the publisher for each visitor’s click on the ad.
  13. Cost per sale: how to calculate about how much it will cost the advertiser in sales, includes the banner ads.
  14. Conversion rate: rate that used in affiliate marketing for visitors who click through the ad and making a transaction.
Web advertising costs vary, based on the model and the prices set by the publisher’s website, and it’s charged for monthly or flat calculation.
